1777 Dated Powder Horn
$109.00Price
A very nice early powder horn that has the date 1777 scratched into the wood top of the horn. This powder horn was very probably used during our American Revolution. Found in Pennsylvania, it could have been carried by a soldier in the militia of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The Pennsylvania Militia was organized under an act of March 7, 1777, which provided for compulsory enrollment by the constables of all able-bodied male whites between the ages of eighteen and fifty-three. This horn was there and now it can be yours.
