A 1796 promissory note of one Johannes (Jacob) Reiser of Northhampton County, PA. This is an interesting note in that his signature has been cut out. This was sometimes done when the debt was paid and the note was null and void. What a great early (225 year old) document to add to your collection of early paper or use on a table or desk for that primitive look.
