1809 Leather Bound Book with Writings

$38.00Price

A little 'arithmatick' leather bound book that once belonged to a little boy named John Hallenbeck (1797-1856) who lived in a town named 'Cocksakie', NY as it was apparently spelled back in the early 1800's. The Hallenbecks were one of the founding familes of Greene County and were very important people. The spelling of the town's name today is 'Coxaskie' and is close  to the Masschusetts western border. There are little squiggles and words written on some of the pages in the book. Just a sweet little book that belonged to a little boy in 'Cocksakie", NY. It is 4" x 7".
