1828 German Language Mysticism Leather Book Based on Madame Guion's Teachings
This beautiful little leather bound book with its well-scuffed and well-used exterior surface is actually a German language volume on the religious mysticism that was promoted by Jeanne-Marie Bouvier de la Motte-Guyon who was a French mystic. She was accused of advocating Quietism but never proclaimed to believe in Quietism.

Die Heilige Liebe Gottes und die Unheilige Naturliebe nach ihren Unterschiedenen Wirkungen In XLIV anmuthigen Sinnbildern und Erbaulichen Versen vorgestellet.
It was printed in Lancaster, PA by Jacob Schweitzer in 1828.
The English translation is: The holy love of God and the unholy love of nature according to their different effects presented in XLIV graceful symbols and edifying verses.
