An Oration At The Dedication of The Soldiers, ' Monument In Evergreen Cemetery , Brighton, Massachusetts On Thursday Afternoon, July 26, 1866 By Rev. Frederic Augustus Whitney. With An Appendix, Containing The Other Exercises, And Notices Of The Deceased Soldiers'.

The title of this pamphlet is a good description of its contents. The oration tells of the initial purpose of this cemetery to be a resting place for the citizens of the town but they were not to know that in actuality, they would be burying their sons, fathers, and brothers who gave their lives in defence of the Union in the Civil War. The names of the soldiers buried in the Evergreen Cemetery are listed in the Appendix with a short description of each man.

This pamphlet is so rare that I can only find a few original copies in the collections of prominent American universities.

Any excess shipping charges will be refunded to the customer’s original form of payment.
