18th Century Candlebox in Its Natural Patina

18th Century Candlebox in Its Natural Patina

This is a beautiful late 18th century candle or pipe box in its natural patina. Found in western PA, it was likely made by a local carpenter or cabinetmaker. The fan decoration on the top of the box is beautiful but the rest of the box is primitive and all the more precious because it may well be 'one of a kind'.  Never painted, this box has had a few repairs over the years and stands 16" tall x 5" wide x 4.75" deep.

The pipes shown are not included in the price of the box.

My living room 2018

Make sure to click on each picture to see the entire picture and its description! Finally! I have gotten a chance to take some pics of my home. Most of these pictures are of my living room that is set up as a lawyer's office from the early 1800s. (Yes! I am crazy!) This first pic is what you see when you walk into my living room and look to the right.
