18th Century Tin Glass and Wire Lantern

A late 18th century tin glass and wire lantern. It has its original glass and wire 'cage' that are all in great shape. Used both indoors and outside, this lantern has remnants of its original silver paint that brings to mind a shiny, bright lantern whether lit or hanging from a beam or hanger near a door. There are air holes at the bottom of all sides of this lantern as well as air holes placed in a wonderful arrangement at the tops of each side of the lantern to increase air flow and to allow the candle to burn longer and cleaner. In excellent shape and uncleaned 'as found', this 'fresh to the market' lantern will make a fabulous addition to your collection. It stands 15.5" tal including that great big ring at the top of the lantern.
