19th Century Pennsylvania Redware Liquor Jug

This is a wonderful 19th century Pennsylvania liquor jug in that amazing orange red clay color. It has what may be its original cork and a appled handle that has the thumbprint of the maker on the base of the handle. It's had a lot of use and shows its age but only has a missing piece of unglazed clay on its bottom.

It stands 8" tall.

My Living Room 2018

That grain painted wardrobe that you can see in this picture will soon be replaced by an 18th century highboy that I fell in love with while up in New England a few months ago.
