19th Century Powder Horn with Carved Name and Great Color
A 19th century powder horn that was found in Pennsylvania, it was part of a 40+ year collection that was sold through an estate sale. The color is wonderful on this early horn and it is in great shape. This powder horn with its large wood knob on its top also has the name "Ethan Allen" carved into the side. There were several men named Ethan Allen that lived in early Dauphin County, PA. It was not the Revolutionary War hero 'Ethan Allen' who carved his name in this powder horn.
It is a robust 12" long with a 3" top diameter.
