An early small gathering or storage basket in its ORIGINAL blue paint. it does have some broken pieces in the weaving but it is in very good shape for its age. Both of the handles are there and you can see the beauty of the blue paint as it sits on a little table rug that is also in this update. These baskets were the work horses of their day and could have held anything from herb leaves to small quantities of wool or flax. It has a 11.5" top diameter and stands 5" tall.
