Antique Mid 1800's Thick Walled Pantry Box


A mid 1800's thick walled pantry box found in New England. It has a wonderful patina and those great early cut nails. It is a wonderful middle of the stack box that may have been used to hold salt or an another type of acidic food stuff. The oxidation around the nails and the dark stain on the bottom of the box and around the lower parts of the box gives some insight into its original use. it has an 11" top diameter and stands 5.5" tall.
