Antique Pennsylvania Redware Jar with Top

Antique Pennsylvania Redware Jar with Top

This is a mid 19th century hand-thrown redware jar - that may have been a canning jar - from southeastern Pennsylvania that has a very interesting interior glaze on it. The glaze has lots of yellow in it and the exterior glaze seems to have a sparkly glaze. This jar was found in New Hampshire and came from a 50 year old collection of redware. A very interesting mid 19th century redware jar.

It is 6" tall and 7" tall to the top of the lid.

Make sure to click on each picture to see the entire picture and its description! Finally! I have gotten a chance to take some pics of my home. Most of these pictures are of my living room that is set up as a lawyer's office from the early 1800s. (Yes! I am crazy!) This first pic is what you see when you walk into my living room and look to the right.
