An early chunky mortar in great original patina with it's pestle that has seen a lot of use. There are some age cracks as seen in the pictures that are quite old that shows it was a highly prized and well used to crush medicinal or culinary herbs.
It is 7" tall with a 5" top diameter and the pestle is 8.5" long.
