Antique Redware Bean or Storage Pot with Provenance
A nice little redware bean or storage pot with an unglazed exterior surface that is glazed on the inside. There is a written provenance for this little pot that was found 4 feet under the sidewalk in front of the Jaques-McNeil House when the city of Charlestown, MA was excavating the ground while laying pipe. The home and the land around it was sold to the City of Charlestown in 1803. The original provenance will be sent with the pot.
It has a 5.25" top diameter and stands 6" tall.
