A beautiful diminutive 19th century oval four finger sewing basket from the Sabbathday Lake Shaker Community in Maine. It has most of its sewing implements and is just missing its poplar needle case. The ribbons holding the accessories in place are there and the interior fabric is in excellent condtion. The patina on this oval sewing basket is wonderful and it is 5" x 7.5" x 2.5" tall
