Beautiful Small Horn Scoop
A small early 19th century horn scoop formed from one piece of a cow's horn. It had to be heated up to allow the maker to carve out the interior and to form the scoop shape. A small piece of the horn that was on the edge of the scoop was carved out and then bent back on itself once it was also heated up to form that little handle. This scoop was for personal use and probably had many functions. It's full length is 4.25" and the scoop is 3.25" long.
