Circa 1760 "Success To The British Arms" Horn Cup - RARE
Rare! Wonderful! Amazing! What more can be said about this tiny horn shot cup that says ‘Success to the British Arms’ around the top. The saying is from the French and Indian War (1760-1763) and was one of the shouts or hurrahs of the British Army as it fought the French and some Native Americans. George Washington, as an example, was a young officer during the French and Indian War and would have joined in with this hurrah. The loyalty to the British crown and the subsequent increases in taxation without representation of the colonists was just one of the things that led to the Revolutionary War. This little treasure stands 2" tall.
