Circa 1800 Enfield or Alfred Shaker Community Round Pantry Box
A late 18th to very early 19th century round Shaker pantry box in its natural surface. It is from a Collection of early Shaker items and is from either the Enfield, NH or Alfred, Maine Communities. Both of these communities were founded in 1793 and both still have museums that are open to the public. The rosehead nails used in its construction date it to the late 1700's to very early 1800's and its beautiful fingered design mark it as a Shaker made box.
It has a 5" diameter and stands 2.75" tall.
