18th Century Maple Pounce Pot or Sander
An 18th C Maple Wood Pounce Pot or Sander that is in excellent shape. It was turned on an early lathe with those scribe marks showing the skill of the craftsman who made this pounce pot. It is approximately 2" tall and 2 1/4" at it's widest point, There are 25 holes on the top and there is still some ground pumice or sand inside. Sit this pounce pot beside a swath of early documents on a table with a inkwell beside it for a wonderful vignette in your tavern room, den or study.
