Early 1800's Vase-Shaped Redware Jar with Hand Thrown Lid

This is a fabulous tall vase-shaped hand-thrown Pennsylvania redware jar with its original lid. It was probably a storage jar instead of a canning jar and it has one scribe mark around the 'shoulder' of the jar. In excellent shape with no cracks or chips, this is a beautiful early redware jar. It stands 8.75" tall and 9.75" tall to the top of that hand-thrown lid.
