This is a rare sampler from the Lancaster County, PA and was sewn by Margaret Ann Zahm who was a Pennsylvania German and may have been of the Mennonite faith. Margaret was born in 1826 so this sampler was made in 1834 when she was 8 years old. 

This rare sampler measures 8" x 18" long.
