Mid 19th Century Storage Bucket with a Wonderful Dark Patina


A wonderful mid 19th century sap/or storage bucket that has a very dark age-related patina. It is so dark that it almost looks like it is painted with black paint - but it is in its natural surface. it has an iron band aroudn the top and bottom with a wood wrapped band around the middle. It also has the initials 'T. S. Pike' on the bottom fo the bucket. 

It has a 9" top diameter, a 10.5" bottom diameter and stands 10.5" tall.

My Living Room 2018

My tastes in furniture and antiques are taking me earlier into our past and my living room right now my favorite room in my home. That grain painted wardrobe that you can see in this picture will soon be replaced by an 18th century highboy that I fell in love with while up in New England a few months ago.
