Early Primitive Scraped Treen Storage or Drinking Vessel
What a great early primitive storage container or vessel for your kitchen or cage bar! It is hand-scraped and in excellent condition with its hand-braided hemp handle. It was so important to the owner that it even has a 'stapled" repair on the top side. It could be from the late 18th up to the mid 19th century and has that great hand-scraped base. It definitely stands by itself as can be seen in the pictures and can be hung from an S-hook or peg. The S-hook in the first picture is not included in the price of the container/vessel. It is 11" long with a 4.25" top diameter.
