German Bisque RW Drummer and Soldier - Circa 1876

German Bisque RW Drummer and Soldier - Circa 1876

$28.00Price

This is a pair of small German made bisque figurines of a Revolutionary War drummer and a soldier with his staff or baton that were made for the American market. These were made around the time of our Revoultionary War Centennial celebrations. The figures were painted to represent as closely as possible the actual colors of the American uniform. Over the years, the great majority of the paint has worn off the figures but some of the red paint on the drum is still visible. Well-made and highly detailed, these are great little figures for a Fourth of July display or as part of a doll collection. They each stand 3.25" tall.
