Early Shaker Oval Finger Box in Its Original Light Blue Paint

This is an early Shaker oval finger box that was found in southern New Hampshire and what a wonderful box it is! When looking at the box in bright sunlight, you can see the soft blue color of the box that has a tinge of green in the paint. This is an early box that is showing the signs of the blue paint breaking down into a green color. This helps to date it to at least before the mid 19th century and it may be even as old as the very early 1800's. It is a real beauty and a true Shaker oval pantry box.

This box can be purchased through layaway and if you would like to use this option, please email me at winterberryfarmprimitives@live.com or use my contact for either in your shopping cart on on my website to lay it away.

My Living Room 2018

My tastes in furniture and antiques are taking me earlier into our past and my living room right now my favorite room in my home. That grain painted wardrobe that you can see in this picture will soon be replaced by an 18th century highboy that I fell in love with while up in New England a few months ago.
