This is an extremely rare and wonderful Betty lamp that is also a peg lamp! It was made to fit into a candlestick to convert it to an oil lamp. This rare piece of early lighting is from a 50+ collection and is 'fresh to the market'. Never seen or sold outside of the collection that was passed down from the collector to the person who sold it to me. The Betty lamp's stand or base was made specifically for this Betty Lamp but instead of a full stand, it is a peg stand. The tin candlestick could also have been made specifically for the Betty and then sold as a set so when you ran out of the new-fangled whale oil, you could use your candles if necessary.
It stands 10.5" tall.
